Abbiamo punti di vista opposti che lottano eternamente, mentre gli algoritmi dei social media traggono profitto dal mantenere tutti arrabbiati e divisi. Hegel credeva che le contraddizioni alla fine si sarebbero risolte in verità superiori, ma a quanto pare non teneva conto delle camere dell'eco e dei pregiudizi di conferma che impediscono una vera evoluzione filosofica.

The most overused phrase in corporate creativity meetings, usually said by people who never had an original thought. Real outside-the-box thinking means questioning the box itself, not just rearranging what's inside it. Philosophy has been doing this for thousands of years while business consultants act like they invented critical thinking. The irony is that most people who say this phrase are trapped in the biggest box of all: conventional wisdom.

Kant credited David Hume with awakening him from his "dogmatic slumber" by proving that pure reason has serious limitations. Hume showed that we can't actually prove cause and effect through logic alone while most people just assume their morning coffee will wake them up. This collection celebrates the comfort of unexamined assumptions and the occasional necessity of philosophical laziness when thinking too hard gives you a headache.
