Can Diogenes of Sinope be chosen as a model? Even Alexander the Great had great respect for the offensive philosopher. But it may be difficult to transfer that to our present time. The teachings of Diogenes have been handed down only as anecdotes from which we must derive the Cynic philosophy. So there is a lot of room for interpretation. We would like to explain this by reference to a meme.
